SUMMARY
Trees or subshrubs, the stems with minute stellate hairs. Leaves discolourous. Inflorescence in axillary fasicles, with slender, elongated pedicels, articulated in the upper third. Epicalyx absent. Calyx campanulate, costae absent. Corolla yellow, fading purplish, or blue, margins of the petal claw stellate pubescent, otherwise glabrous and the base of the claw bi-auriculate, although these are minute in A. floribunda. Staminal column apex unknown. Styles 5. Fruits schizocarpic. Mericarps 5, trigonal in cross-section, pubescent, seeds solitary. Endoglossum absent.
